I know how to achieve world peace.

Massages for all! I got my first 50 minute massage today! For my b-day, Phil/Luke bought me a spa package. It was awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwesome. I've never felt so relaxed! THe room was dim with this little water fountain trickling, and new age music playing and the massage table was comfy like a bed, and I was under a blanket the whole time and she used aromatherapy oil (I got to choose from 5 scents) and I want to go back again and again and again. It was from Gadabout, which is just like Athena in Glendale. Fun!!!! Again: I firmly believe that if everyone got massages, there would be no war.

Luke's First Baseball Game

Tonight, we took Luke to his first (and probably last- but only because they are moving to Reno next year) Triple A baseball game. The Tucson Sidewinders played the Las Vegas 51's. But I didn't know that until we got home and I asked Phil who they played. How is that possible that I didn't even know who they played? The answer: I have a one year old. I only actually saw three pitches, but technically we were there for six innings. Thank God for grass seating, jumping castles, and Dippin Dots ice cream, or we would have only lasted ONE inning! :) Luke was in full explore mode and would NOT sit still! It was fun, though, because the weather was perfect and we ended up sitting with some old work friends of mine who happened to be there, too. They were kidless, enjoying Thirsty Thursday ($1 beers), and talking about their jobs/dogs. We... well, we were a walking birth control ad. But hey- it was the most eventful Thursday night we've had in awhile! :) :) :)

Memorial Day 2008

We hope everyone had a happy and safe Memorial Day Weekend! On Monday, we drove up to Casa Grande for a family lunch (fried chicken, yum!) Then, we walked next door for a neighborhood bar-b-que dinner! It was fun to relax with everyone and for Luke to get to play with his family and next door friends!

Summer is a Coming

This is how we keep cool in our neck of the woods. Not exactly a summer paradise, but there are definitely worse ways to spend an afternoon. Sure makes me jealous of my parents and sister, who have REAL pools! But Luke doesn't know the difference, he LOVED our little play pool!

Luke loved filling up his cup, and dumping out the water. He took this "job" very seriously. He would alternate between dumping it on himself, me and Gabe. Gabe enjoyed showing me how he could swim (imagine him laying on his belly flailing his arms just a little), splash, and blow bubbles. So much fun!

Here is a little video of the boys. Enjoy!

This is as close as I dared get with my beloved camera. They are toddlers in water, after all.

Poor girl's pedicure. So sweet!

Snuggles after the "swim." I love this pic.

Saturday in the Park

We went to the 3rd birthday party of Luke's friend, Lily today. It was a beautiful day in the park, and we Luke was in a great mood playing with his friends- even though it was during his nap time.

So much fun!

Hey, ma!

Luke wanted to play with the "bubbles." He calls anything with water, "bubbles."

Had to include this pic, because it is so adorable. This is Luke's friend, Sophia, carefully eating her cake. Isn't she the cutest?

And here is little Naomi, taking a break between cake and the swings. Ahhh pigtails. Precious.

Vocabulary Supernova

Okay, too much stellar evolution on the brain (Thank you, Kaplan). Anyways, Luke said so many words for the first time today! He is really becoming a little parrot, trying to say everything we say.

My favorite new word is "tickle," complete with Luke ticking his own belly when he says it.

Other new words today: hair, cookie, pizza (yes, I know we didn't eat that healthy today)

His complete vocabulary as of May 12, 2008: mama, daddy, papa, bri, bella, auntie, duck, banana, juice, bubble, doggie, car, truck, nigh nigh, milk, wa wa (water), cracker, shoe, poo poo, light, choo choo, tree, apple, grapes, ball, grandma/pa (I haven't heard this yet, but Phil did), baby, uh oh...

Mother's Day at the Sniders

Mom, dad, the Hennessys and my little family got together on Saturday for a combined "Mother's Day/Angie's Birthday/My Birthday" party. We had lots of fun swimming, eating, and trying to take a portrait of the entire family. As you can see, the littlest ones (particularly MY little one) didn't think that was such a great idea. But it was a great day!

Guke plays together

Gabe came over today, and we had a great time!

Here is Luke giving Gabe a kiss :)

Big Smile!

Curious

Who would think pushing chalk through a mailslot could be so engrossing?

Luke is finally taller than Gabe!

Our little daredevil!

Whatcha doin?

If Rita is going to post her favorite "Once" song, then so will I...

ahhh... wasn't that nice? Did I just make your day? Who wants to come to their concert with me in October? I might even get PHIL to go! He loves them too!

Happy Cinco de Mayo.
I'm not really sure what the significance of this holiday is, but Luke and I celebrated anyway with a Meetup Moms potluck and our first trip into the Brandi Fenton splashpark. Luke was a little overwhelmed, but hopefully he'll warm up to the park, because it will be too hot this summer NOT to...

Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday to me
Happy Birthday, dear meeee-eeee
Happy Birthday to me!

Dinner at Cracker Barrel was a complete surprise! Phil had me thinking he "missed the turn" to his parents house and that he would "make a U turn" at the Wal-mart. Anyone who knows where we live knows that is wayyyyy out of the way to his parents house!
Luke put as much of the mac and cheese as he could in his hair. And, since I didn't think we were going to a restaurant, I didn't pack a bib! Therefore, we pretty much had to hose him down when we got home :)

One of Phil's birthday presents to me was a "Luke bouquet." He wrote a dozen reasons why he loves me and taped them to Luke- and sent him into the office when I was working. Of course, Luke immediately started ripping them off him, but I got a picture before they were all gone. Soooo cute!
(the other present was a massage/pedicure gift certificate from Gadabout!)
